A perfect around town care by GREEN GRANNY on 07/17/2014. Trim: 2015 Nissan LEAF S, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: I purchased the Leaf 2 weeks ago. I am the "little old lady" who drives 7 miles to work, to the grocery and doctors office. As a retired accountant I calculated the cost to drive 100 miles - 25 mpg - $3.50 per gal to be $14.00 plus or minus. Using the cost per kwh of electricity at 12 per Kwh the cost to drive is approximately 2,50 per 100 miles. The tax credit offered and the grant offered by the state of Texas is approximately $9000 that will come back to my bank account. Making a significant difference in the net cost of the Leaf. Drives like a dream.
Cons: nothing so far. Too soon to tell.
Overall review: This car is not for everyone, In my case it is the ideal car for the kind of driving I do. I have driven a Ford for the past 30 years. This car has a more substantial feel. The leg room is much better than my Ford Focus. With the tax incentives it was well within my comfort zone for monthly payments
