Family workhorse. by Dave from Baltimore Maryland on 08/08/2014. Trim: 2014 Toyota Prius V Two, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: It is what it looks like, a station wagon with fantastic gas mileage. We get 45 miles to the gallon on the highway, and about the same in the city. The ride is almost as good as a Cadillac, and the seats are almost like a van. We got the Perl color, with tan interior, so the inside stays cool even on the hottest days.
Cons: Acceleration is poor, as if you were towing another car. In power mode the car performs better, but still not great. We got the base model, so the touchscreen is nearly useless. The automatic unlock system works only for the driver door, if you want to enter anywhere else you have to press buttons on the key fob.
Overall review: If you take away the hybrid system you still have an excellent station wagon, somewhat basic by today's standards but there you have it.
