The BMW 6 Series returns as a 2012 model in two-door coupe and convertible bodystyles. It is still a grand tourer and not a sports machine. The new car has a longer wheelbase and is wider than the old 6 Series. Power comes from a 4.4-liter V8 mated with either BMW's eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission.

Pros:
This car is phenomenal. Excellent performance, safety, systems, styling, comfort and pure luxuriant driving indulgence. This is the best car I have ever owned or driven. I test them all, but this BMW takes the cake. Although other cars out there get more looks, this one gets the admiring looks of those drivers in the know.
Cons:
Not a single thing. Everything I complained about in my prior 3 new model six series has been corrected.
Overall review:
Probably, in my opinion, the best car in its class. Nothing compares to this. From the softness of it's leather seating to the kick in the pants of it's acceleration to it's totally no drama handling of any Southern California Highway or byway I have throw at it, this car is unflappable. Nothing compares to it. Long distance cruising is a breeze, a no problem, relaxed, and fun way to travel very fast between two places hours apart.
