Pros:
Stylish, handles well and, most of all, is a pure, unadulturated blast to drive. Definitely the best of the sport utilities.
Cons:
The V6 could use a few more horses, and the Cayenne absolutely cries out for either 19 or 20 inch rims. Definitely a tad thirsty around town, but that's a price well worth paying.
Overall review:
Traded in a 2008 Range Rover Sport, which was a faithful companion for 80,000 trouble-free miles. Ended up with a "gently" used, low mileage, well-equipped 2010 base Cayenne (V6). Liked the Rover, love the Cayenne. Has the signature Porsche traits -- handling, style, quality interior. Thanks to the Cayenne, I actually enjoy -- and look forward to -- my long commute to/from work. Perfect size, rock-solid feel, taut suspension. Although the V6 is more than adequate for 99% of my driving, that 1% with the a V8 "S" would be nirvana. With about two months of miles on the odometer, the Cayenne has already earned a spot on the top of my list of personal favs. Considered a Range Rover, BMW X5 and Mercedes. The Cayenne is the proverbial best of the bunch.
