From the Test Track
The Outlander's smooth 3.0-liter V6 provides a lot of punch and returns 19 mpg overall, and the four-cylinder gets 22 mpg. Handling is fairly agile and it is secure limits, due in part to its standard ESC. The ride is fairly stiff. Interior fit and finish is a bit disappointing. The top-level V6 offers a third-row seat.
