From the Test Track
The redesigned 2008 V70 is a wagon version of the S80 sedan. The XC70 has all-wheel drive and a raised ride height. The powertrain is a pleasant 3.2-liter six-cylinder mated to a six-speed automatic. The XC70 delivers adequate performance, but its 18 mpg overall is just so-so. Ride and handling are improved over the previous generation.
