From the Test Track
The wagon version of the S40 corners fairly nimbly but has a stiff ride. The standard 2.4-liter engine sounds raspy. A stronger turbocharged engine powers the T5. The front seats are supportive, but the rear seat is very tight. All-wheel drive is available.
