Tips for best mpg by Ryan, Buffalo on 11/10/2010. Trim: 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix Sedan, Owned 3 years.

Pros: -Over 70k miles on it and only regular maintenance. No expensive repairs/problems whatsoever. -I see complaints about the highway mpg; Put some good tires on it (many are now rated for better mpg), keep up regular maintenance (use a good fully-synthetic oil, especially ones that last longer to make it more worth it, like amsoil). -I took a 2000 mile trip driving at speeds that would make mpg worse, and still got an average of 28 mpg!
Cons: -I could no longer read the radio display, which was mostly to see the time. Once replaced, the new stereo doesn't allow the internal clock to keep the date. This was obviously minor. -Newer GM vehicles are very apt to not pass inspection because of emissions problems. Not because emissions are poor, but the extremely integrated computer monitoring can have small problems, like a $200 valve that had to be replaced...
Overall review: Solid car; not a plastic toy. Plan to get another 70k out of it. Just take care of your cars and they'll last you forever!
