Pros:
We bought this car for looks both inside and out. After taking a 3,000 mile trip on everything including Interstates and back roads, I have never driven a better highway car. This model just has the basic engine but it has all the power you need and the Turbo lag is barely noticeable.
The transmission is flawless and the shift on the steering wheel is a nice touch.
The sound system is terrific.
The ride is like a racing/rally car--right on the road.
The steering is as precise as anything I have ever owned--goes right where you point it and you feel the road.
The way the hatch is designed you can carry lots of luggage out of site for a sports car.
Audi gives free service up to 50k.
Cons:
Not a car for Sunday drivers--it is far too responsive.
Road noise is there but that adds to the driving pleasure for those that like the sound of the road.
The styling does restrict visibility but if you changed it, you would be driving a big window box instead of a dynamite sports car.
An exta key can cost over $200 US.
Overall review:
The Audi TT is a driver's car. It was clearly designed for the road for those that love to take trips on all sorts of roads.
The look inside and out is real understated elegance. The interior is like something Erte', the famous Art Deco designer would have dreamed of in the space age.
If you love to drive and love the higway, the sound and feel of the road, this could be your car.
