Great Entry Level Luxury by Rick (CA) on 05/29/2012. Trim: 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan w/Leather, Owned 9 years.
Pros: When this vehicle came out it was ahead of the curve on styling! The horsepower to weight ratio meant a fast vehicle that took hills very well. The price varied from high $20Ks to mid $30Ks, which was a sweet spot at the time for value luxury unlike like today's G37 and G25. Customizing or adding personality is still affordable to this day, and after market items were popular for car enthusiasts of the old Nissan Skyline.
Cons: Purchasing the fresh car allowed for challenges and opportunities. Two recalls that you can find on the internet (brakes and exhaust), but the major two for me were the power steering unit cracking around 60000 miles, and the transmission not having a sixth gear resolved later. Infiniti offers great customer service, but there is a little inconsistency by dealership.
Overall review: Still a beautiful car with a great paint job and performance. 130,000 miles and still running very well. Word of Mouth: Estimated life span is about 200,000 miles on this reliable Nissan engine, first major repair is "normally" around 146,000.
