Pros:
It's Cheap to buy, fairly cheap to own, nice interior room and turning radius.
Cons:
It's Cheap...Don't think I've ever owned a vehicle that was as cheaply built as the Sidekick. Loud engine, downright scary engine sounds near redline, think bucket of nails meets circular saw. Automatic transmission hunts and never seems to select the right gear. Gets absolutely mauled by crosswinds, on a windy day you will suddenly find yourself facing oncoming traffic. Seats are terribly unsupportive, almost feels like a bar stool, not a driver's seat. You feel every bump, pothole, crack and fissure in the road. Oh, and don't even think about exceeding 75 MPH, unless you have nerves of steel. If you're actually considering it, know it got two stars in gov't crash testing.
Overall review:
You get what you pay for, and in my experience with the Sidekick that can be a plus or a minus. Now that I have a family I would never put my children in it. There are much safer inexpensive vehicles available.
