Reliable and Economical by Team EG 92 on 06/03/2012. Trim: 1993 Honda Civic DX Hatchback, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Great on gas, extremely reliable. My first type of car, and i dont plan on ever getting rid of it. It has about 140K, i drive it from North Orlando to Miami and back at least once a month. It is my daily driver (literally), i log at least 40 miles a day. Fairly small body, making it easy to park, and slip through traffic. Low maintenance costs, and if you do its regular oil/filter changes, top off fluids, and cleaning to avoid engine grime, inspect for worn hoses/leaks, sparkplug/battery changes, check tire pressure/brakes, and freon charge, then you shouldnt have a major breakdown fora long time, ive seen them reach 300K, they are very strong vehicles, my personal favorites. Good luck :]
Cons: The only thing that bothers me is the cup holders, the only size that fits is a standard small cup >_< and for some odd reason it seem to be a common issue that develops over time, when eventually the lock switch on the inside of the car (driver side) jams up, and you can no longer lock the door when you get out, only when the door is closed, either manually from the inside or turning the key from the outside. Nothing electrical mind you its an older car, but not a major fallback, if your not lazy to lock your door with the key, or take it to get it fixed, which isnt but $40 at most.
Overall review: 10/10 in my book. I have owned 2, bought both from original owners, still daily drivers and in the family. 91 ef (manual) and 93 eg (auto). Wouldnt trade them for nothing else.
