Pros:
Bought brand new, still own it. In 21 years, it blew a head gasket (~$2000) and THAT'S IT for repairs, aside from the usual scheduled maintenance. I wanted a car that wouldn't leave me stranded on the highway, and THIS IS IT. Very spacious interior. My 6'1" boyfriend (who drives sports cars) couldn't believe how well it performed and that he didn't hit his head on the roof (he used to borrow it all the time). I'm 5'1" and I had no problem adjusting the seats so I was comfortable driving it too. Now at 21, acceleration is poor, and it gradually decelerates on steep hills (it was great when new).
Cons:
Both earlier and later models of the Civic were better-looking.
Overall review:
Can't believe how much value I've gotten for $14k out-the-door. Finally thinking of replacing it, think it might have to be another Honda Civic.
