2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe: Flash Drive

Styling makes a big difference. I started out not liking the Cadillac CTS coupe. The styling doesn't suit me, and it felt a bit underpowered. But the more I drove it, the more the car grew on me. Perhaps it was the compliments I got. The CTS coupe got more compliments than anything I've driven, exotics included. I had people tell me they would like to be rich just so they could buy this car. But this Cadillac doesn't require you to be rich. The V6 engine doesn't even need premium gasoline to deliver its best, and it still delivers over 20 mpg. It's no rocket ship, but for only $50,000 or so it's a beautiful bargain compared to the alternatives. If you're one of the many that like the styling, that is. –Paul Hagger
I love that the new CTS coupe, with its edgy styling and unique center-rear exhaust, doesn't look like anything else on the road. However, the stylish rear pillars create a huge blind spot, and the trunk supports limit the cargo space, crushing anything that happens to be in their way. On the road, the CTS coupe drives and handles well. But power is only reasonable; sometimes 3.0-liter V6 engine strains to move the heavy car. The interior is beautiful, and GM continues to make one of the best display-screen interfaces on the market. The rear seat is tight, but the car is large, so the seats are almost usable for adult passengers. The rear seat is somewhat difficult to get in and out of, however. –Perry Stern
