Pretty good ride by Jim from AZ on 08/21/2014. Trim: 2014 Nissan Frontier SV King Cab 5AT 4X2, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Not great, but good. Then, what truck is great at everything? The Frontier doesn't exceed in any area, but does everything well. Thousands less than the competition. Power is more than adequate. Easy to drive.
Cons: Suspension is soft. Going to Bilstein shocks to help. Gas mileage, of course, but this is a 9 year old design with a 5 spd transmission. Transmission shifts at odd times to keep the revs low. Large turning radius. The Crew cab with 6 ft bed doesn't help with this.
Overall review: This is the second Frontier that I've owned. The first was a 2008 Nismo Edition. The current is a 2wd SV. There's not a lot different between the old and new. Going to make a few changes to the suspension to make the ride a bit firmer. Other than that, there's nothing else I want to change. The additions to the entertainment system are nice and work as advertised. Everything else reminds me of the old truck, which always did very well for everything I needed. There have been problems with past models, such as the transmission cooler problems (05-10, though not really affecting models after 08) and cam chain tensioners (05-07), but I haven't heard of these with the newer models. So far, it's an enjoyable small(ish) truck that's a great daily driver and lighter work.
