Pros: New owner of 1 month so cannot say much about quality or reliability. However, the fit and finish is phenomenal and the car feels very comfortable and is just fantastic to drive. The engine is very powerful, I can't imagine what the AMG model must feel like. I got 0 to 60 (unofficially) at 5.1...which is 0.1sec more than what is advertised. But, I am not race care driver so I figure the 5.0 is quite accurate. The car is quiet, rides nicely and you get a good feel of the road. The ride is not as soft/comfortable as the Lexus LS I owned earlier, but it is comfortable enough and the sporty feel when driving is a good trade off.
Cons: There are two things I do not like and am completely dumbfounded as to why Mercedes allowed for these errors of omission. First, the outside mirrors do not automatically turn downwards when you go into reverse. I thought every car did this, at least any luxury car I have driven. With all the technology in this car I was amazed to find this feature was not part of the package. The other item that is also bewildering relates to the A/C controls. There is no "master" control for the driver when he/she is the only person in the car. To change the warm or cold air to the passenger side of the car I have to move both dials (mine and the passenger's). I have never seen this before, don't get it?
Overall review: Got better price than expected. Dealership in Alpharetta GA is fantastic. Very calm, professional, zero pressure to purchase a car. Matter of fact, I don't think I was even asked about purchasing the car the two times I came in. This was so nice and stress free, wish all dealerships operated in this fashion. Like the manager said, since I was in the showroom he knew I wanted to check out Mercedes. They basically let the cars do the selling for them. Good point, what is there to really say other than providing the high points and various options? This was done and for the first time ever I left the dealership feeling good about my purchase.
