The Car Your Neighbors Will Envy by David from Somerset, MA on 01/15/2014. Trim: 2014 Jaguar XF Series XF 3.0L V6 SC AWD, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Exterior and Interior styling; Exclusiveness; Head turner; Large trunk; All wheel drive; 8 speed transmission with sport mode; Enthusiast's handling without sacrificing ride comfort; Stereo sound quality; Cup holders
Cons: Slow, outdated and non user friendly info-tainment / navigation system; Mellow exhaust under hard acceleration, I wish it was louder; 0 - 60 time (6.1 sec) is slower than it should be with 340 hp, should be mid 5's; The auto stop/start system can't be shut off permanently. It has to be done every time the car is started. Very annoying!; Heated & ventilated seat settings are cancelled every time the car is shut off; I don't like the round dial shifter. I wish it had a regular stick with tip-tronic. I never liked the paddle shifters on the steering wheel; The car is absent of a coin holder
Overall review: The car is a quagmire. It is beautiful, enticing, engaging and a head turner. It is exclusive to the point that you might have the only one in your town and all the surrounding towns! This is very contrary to the E-class, 5 series & A6's. There are far too many of the fore mentioned cars on the road. But it has its shortcomings too. I did my research on the XF and had my eyes wide open going into it. Sure I'm disappointed with its shortcomings, but the positive attributes out weigh them. If I had it to do all over again, I would.
