The 2013 Volvo XC90 receives a new exterior look with the lower body now finished in body color rather than black. Other updates include a silver front bumper bar, chrome intake trim on the front bumper, LED daytime running lights, chrome mirror caps, silver roof rails with silver footers, LED brake lights and 18-inch Thalia alloy wheels. Inside the XC90 receives a 3-spoke leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, white instrument lighting, white audio display lighting, leather tailgate strap, sanded silver trim, Sovereign Hide soft leather upholstery and walnut wood inlays. The XC90 R-Design features a high-gloss black mesh grille, matte chrome mirror caps, matte chrome side window frames and 19-inch Ixion diamond cut alloy wheels.

The Ultimate Disapointment by AJAK on 06/03/2012. Trim: 2013 Volvo XC90 3.2, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Great styling and interior space.
Cons: This vehicle has been an absolute disaster for reliability. Electronics issues, transmission replaced ($8,100 as it was just out of warranty), leaking engine crank seals, cheap plastic trim cracking, etc. All these issues on the vehicle within the first 70,000 miles.
Overall review: After taking advantage of the Factory Delivery Program, I thought I would be a Volvo customer for life. My wife and I toured the plant, ate lunch with the workers and drove the vehicle around Sweden before it was shipped to the U.S. Unfortunately, this vehicle has been a huge disappointment in terms of reliability. I should have trusted the myriad reports regarding suspect reliability for this model. Search XC90 problems on the Internet using any search engine and believe what you read. I should have...
