The 2013 Lincoln MKT receives a midcycle refresh, with a redesigned grille and front fascia, increased power, an improved ride with sharper handling, and a number of new luxury and high-tech features. The MKT’s distinctive split waterfall grille now features thinner slats to give it a wider, less vertical feel. The base front-wheel-drive 3.7-liter V6 engine gets a 32 horsepower bump to 300; the uplevel all-wheel-drive 356-horsepower EcoBoost V6 remains the same. The new Lincoln Drive Control allows the driver to alter a number of vehicle systems by selecting from a range of modes—Normal, Comfort and Sport—which tailor the MKT’s engine performance, transmission shift points, steering precision and suspension damping rates depending on the driver's preference, all aided by continuously controlled dampening. Safety and convenience upgrades include Driver Alert, a lane-keeping assist system, an updated version of MyLincoln Touch and inflatable rear seat belts.

Do Not Miss This One! by The Raminator, Palm Springs on 06/19/2012. Trim: 2013 Lincoln MKT 3.5L with EcoBoost AWD, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: I have combed the professional reviews of the MKT - both before and after buying it, and find that I get irritated by the niggling comments made by the reviewers. I have driven BMW 5 series, Lexus RX series, Jeep Grand Cherokees and a Porsche Cayenne Turbo. What comes closest to the MKT is either the Porsche or the BMW sportwagon. The sheer joy of driving in either is equalled if not exceeded by the driving experience of the MKT. It is a big car, there is no doubt about that, but it handles like a BMW and accelerates like a Porsche or a BMW. It is a sheer delight to drive. The technology and the Sync system work as advertised. I think this car is at the top of the list.

Cons: gas mileage and the fact that if you like to accelerate at all you can quickly be in red light territory

Overall review: I think this is a great car if you're in the market for a BIG hauler. I know it isn't for everyone, but I also think it is way underrated, and in the large crossover segment of the market, for sheer fun to drive, as well as luxury and features is has been sorely underrated. This is a great car.
