2013 Honda CR-Z

The 2013 Honda CR-Z adds a more powerful Lithium-Ion battery that improves performance and increases EPA fuel-economy ratings. The CR-Z is powered by Honda’s Integrated Motor Assist technology that combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with assist from an electric motor that increases from 10kW to 15 kW for 2013 for a total system output of 130 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque (127 lb-ft when equipped with CVT). For 2013 the CR-Z achieves an EPA rating of 36 mpg city/39 mpg highway/37 mpg combined with the CVT and 31 mpg city/38 mpg highway/34 mpg combined with the 6-speed manual. A new Sport Plus System can be activated by the driver when the battery is more than 50 percent charged and the car is traveling over 19 mpg to provide five seconds of electric boost when accelerating. The 2013 CR-Z receives revised exterior styling with a new front fascia, new finish for the16-inch wheels and an aerodynamically functional rear diffuser.
