The 2013 BMW X3 adds new TwinPower Turbo 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine for the xDrive28i, replacing the normally-aspirated 6-cylinder engine. The new engine produces maximum power of 240 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and maximum torque of 260 lb-ft at 1,250 rpm that remains constant up to 4,800 rpm. Auto Start/Stop is standard on both X3 xDrive28i and X3 xDrive35i and under certain driving conditions turns off the engine when the vehicle comes to a stop for an improvement in fuel economy. The driver may turn off Auto Start/Stop with a button located next to the Start/Stop button. Driving Dynamics Control with ECO PRO is standard and allows the driver to optimize drivetrain, heating, air conditioning and electrical function for improved fuel efficiency. Pros: Excellent "3 series" feel of driving, handling and acceleration are superb. Great looks and high quality finishing touches expected from BMW's. Great mileage for a cross-over with the eco function being very efficient.
Cons: Although I like the dial style infotainment system, it does take a while to get used to it, it could be a little more user friendly but on the flip side, the capabilities are exceptional. It is a pricey buy for a smaller size SAV but you are paying for performance and great looks, it is a BMW after all. However, after you add some options like premium sound, "M" sports package, winter package like I did, the price really adds up, although I would not have gotten it without them, it looks and feels great.
Overall review: If you can afford it, this car is an absolute must compared to other luxury cross-overs, you will not be dissapointed.
