2013 Audi S8

The 2013 Audi S8 is powered by a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 520 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque combined with an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. The new engine incorporates Audi cylinder on demand technology that deactivates four of the cylinders at lower engine loads to reduce fuel consumption up to 10 percent at moderate highway speeds. When the engine switches from V8 to V4 mode, active noise cancellation negates changes in engine and exhaust sound. Exterior S8 design elements include twin-blade horizontal slats for the signature Audi grille, lower bumper air intakes, rear diffuser, aluminum optic mirrors, rocker moldings, quad exhaust outlets and 21-inch wheels. Inside the S8 features carbon atlas trim, three-spoke steering wheel, and white on gray instrument displays. The front seats include standard heating, cooling and massage functions with Valcona leather and a diamond cross-stitch pattern. Interior trim choices include carbon atlas, matte brushed aluminum, fine grain natural Ash brown wood or layered Oak.
