The 2012 Porsche 911 represents the next generation of this iconic sports car. Initially available as a Carrera Coupe or Carrera S Coupe, the new 911 is longer, lower, has a wider track and is lighter than its predecessor. Power on the standard coupe comes from a 3.4-liter 350-horsepower engine that not only provides a boost in power over the previous model, it also improves fuel economy. The Carrera S also gets more power – its 3.8-liter engine now produces 400 horsepower. A number of new features are introduced on the 2012 911, including the world’s first 7-speed manual transmission in a passenger car. Other features include start/stop technology, redesigned suspension and a complete new interior inspired by the Carrera GT supercar. The rest of the 911 lineup, including the Targa, Turbo and GTS, remain primarily unchanged for 2012. These trims will be updated to the updated platform over the next several months.

Pros: 2000 to 2012 only the performance figures change. The "911" has evolved over 48 years. To sum it up the car's responsiveness is unequaled, its reliability ...amazing. Often called "bullet proof" I've been fortunate in having owned five versions of this true supercar. It has reached a point where I really have stopped thinking about alternatives. The car is a bargain at $100,000 particularly when compared to the $1,500000 ugly Bugatti. .
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
Overall review: Save up, sell your mother, sell your wife, rob a bank just get 911 "there is no substitute"
