The 2012 Nissan NV is offered in three versions, powered by two different engines. The NV 1500 and 2500 HD are powered by a 261-horsepower 4.0-liter V6 engine. A 5.6-liter V8 engine that produces 317 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque is optional for the 2500 HD and standard for the 3500 HD. Both engines are combined with a standard 5-speed automatic transmission.

The ultimate work van for the forward thinking driver. by Keith on 01/02/2012. Trim: 2012 Nissan NV Cargo 2500 HD SV V8, Owned 1 year.

Pros: The shelving in this van is excelent. Lots of room for my parts and tools. The stereo sounds great.The V8 motor has more than enough power. Rear doors open beyond any door out there then stays open with a big magnet. The leg room feels like a truck with a big center console for great storage to hold files and a laptop. This SV has 120v AC outlets in console and by rear door. Three ceiling lights make it easy to find parts and tools at night. Handles to pull myself into the van at all doors.

Cons: The roof needs more attention from paint to grinding down spot welds so there is no high spots that will rust if not taking care of.

Overall review: Great van, with lots of chrome to shine on the SV model. Feels solid when driving and closing the doors. It feels more like driving a truck than driving a van.
