![]() MSN Autos takes a spin in the all-new Land Rover Range Rover Evoque.Read Full Review Short Take
The Evoque, a new Land Rover model based on the LR2, offers 2-door and 4-door versions. It uses a Ford-supplied 240-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration and braking are commendable. Handling becomes disconcerting at the limits. The ride is rather choppy. Interior room and visibility gets sacrificed for styling.

Pros:
I didn't think it was possible to have an SUV with real off road capabilities that has the on road handling of a decent sports sedan. The Evoque does this. Excellent handling, good road grip, good miles per gallon, comfortable interior with good navigation, decent stereo, back up camera, and all the conveniences anyone needs, right down to the heated leather steering wheel.
Cons:
Cargo space should be 5 inches deeper for dog carrying purposes.
Overall review:
If you are looking for real off road capability, combined with sports sedan on road grip, and economy car gas mileage, along with modern interior electronics, look no further. This is your SUV.
