The 2012 GMC Yukon XL adds a new hard-drive navigation AM/FM/XM radio with Time Shift Recording capability and available SiriusXM Weather Service. Heated leather-trimmed front seats are now standard on SLT. The StabiliTrak stability control system now includes electronic trailer sway control and hill start assist. New exterior colors are Crystal Red Tintcoat and Quicksilver Metallic.

Useful?

Pros: Handles well off pavement. Comfortable ride.

Cons: Having to look down for temp/direction is not good. Passengers furstrated at not seeing current temp/direction. Usable cargo space is limited. We use vehicle to haul stuff. Hard to load thru side doors, space behind folded seats not covered, so not usable.

Overall review: Mechanically this is a good vehicle, stable, tracks well. Well suited for creature comforts. Is not a working vehicle with it's limited cargo area.
