FX50S - a thorough honest review from an owner that is about the experience

Pros:
Sport + Deluxe + Tech Packages
The quilted leather seats are the best that I've seen from Infiniti - very soft, supple and comfortable. With the sport, the seats have an customizable extension under your thighs that can provide support up near or to your knees that releaves pressure on long drives.
The sport package adds features like rear active steering and selectable continuous damping control - which makes the vehicle a pleasure to drive through winding roads at speeds that are uncomfortable for most cars.
The deluxe package wood trim adds a warm, almost cozy feel in the passenger compartment that I love everytime I enter the vehicle.

Cons:
The storage compartment between the front two seats lid is terrible. It feels cheap compared to previous years (not sure when this changed, maybe 09?) and has a "toggle" between the upper compartment and lower, larger compartment. The toggle works some of the time and is the main reason why this feels cheap. The top leather is excellent quality, but smaller than I would like as an armrest. It works though.
The way the rear seat switch that initiates the release of the seats so that they fold down feels like it might break easily. While the old way was buried near the seat belt connection in the seat cushion, the new location is still awkward but more accessible.

Overall review:
This vehicle is about the total experience. I neglect to mention many features that add value like the very short turning radius and excellent sound system that integrates with bluetooth music streaming, USB devices and has a hard drive music storage where you can rip CDs.
I sell vehicles that I don't like quickly - even taking the hit for rapid depreciation the first year. I will be keeping this one for quite sometime as I love the experience of driving it.
Overall, the FX50S experience is fantastic and highly recommended. Always see if you can get Infiniti VPP (Vehicle Purchase Program). Bing "Infiniti VPP" to see if you qualify - Veterans and affiliated companies (maybe the company that you work for is affiliated somehow...)
