2011 Audi A8

The 2011 Audi A8 is redesigned and features more muscular wheel arches and a slightly arched trunk lid. The new A8 features full LED headlights with both low and high beam functionality, as well as LED daytime running lights, cornering lights and turn signals. Both engines deliver more power, but are also more efficient. The 4.2-liter V8 produces 372 horsepower and combined with a new 8-speed automatic transmission is 17 percent more efficient than the previous model. The 5.0-liter W12 produces 500 horsepower and combined with the new 8-speed automatic is nearly 12 percent more efficient. Audi’s new pre sense feature activates when a crash is imminent to adjust the air suspension, move the seats to their optimal positions, pretensions the seat belts, close the side windows, close the sunroof and apply emergency brake activation. The optional night vision assistant with infrared thermal-imaging camera provides active pedestrian detection and warning.
