2010 Volkswagen Golf

The 2010 Volkswagen Golf is redesigned and returns to the U.S. market, replacing the Rabbit. The sixth generation Golf features a new front-end design with a wider double-bar grille that blends into the angled headlights. Available in both 2-door and 4-door hatchback versions, the Golf is powered by either a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter gasoline engine or a 2.0-liter turbocharged clean diesel TDI engine that produces 140 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. The TDI is coupled with a standard 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional 6-speed automatic DSG with Tiptronic for the performance of a manual with the convenience of an automatic. The gasoline engine is mated with a 5-speed manual in the 2-door and a 6-speed automatic with Tiptronic for the 4-door.
