New for 2010 Toyota Tundra

The 2010 Toyota Tundra adds two new versions, the Tundra Platinum and the Tundra Work Truck, and offers a new 310-horsepower 4.6-liter V8 engine mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Tundra Platinum is available on the CrewMax Limited equipped with the 5.7-liter V8 and Flex Fuel powertrains and includes a billet-style grille, chrome bumpers, unique 20-inch alloy wheels, door sill plates with Platinum logo, Platinum badging and a choice of four exterior colors: Black, Silver, Slate and Salsa Red. Inside, the Tundra Platinum features a tilting and telescoping steering wheel, power moonroof, navigation system, ventilated seats, perforated leather seating surfaces, wood trim, chrome-accented climate control vents and embroidered Platinum logos on the head restraints.

Short Take

The Tundra offers three engines and three cab sizes. Handling is relatively responsive, but the ride with the TRD package is stiff. The 5.7-liter V8 is very powerful. The tailgate is easy to raise and lower. A new 4.6-liter V8 replaced the old 4.7-liter for 2010.
