Pros: Just an awesome car. Compliments all the time. Performance is staggering, great brakes, incredible handling (very forgiving), style that is off-the-charts, American icon, fantastic value for the money, you can drive it in jeans or be wearing a suit and tie, any dress style will fit, no problem as a daily driver, weight to horsepower ratio is ranked as excellent, reliability is very good, quality is excellent, your friendship circle will increase once you start to meet other Corvette owners, truly a world class car.
Cons: Minor - Since the car is very low, be careful when parking, also watch for certain driveway inclines, you will scuff the front air diffuser. Since it is a low sports car, you will have to learn how to artfully enter and exit a Corvette. "Bing" the topic and you will find it and learn.
Overall review: Has to be one of the best cars I have owned. I am glad I made the decision to by a Corvette. I was looking at, and test drove, BMW M5, Porsche GT3, and Dodge Challenger SRT8. All of those cars are great cars also, but the Corvette just seem to fit me. I chose the Grand Sport for it's body styling and its Z06 flavor. I love the HUD (Head's Up Display). Great engine and exhaust note. Either base coupe, GS, Z06, or ultra-mega ZR1, you cannot go wrong with any Corvette. This is my second, I had one many years ago, and the quality was not near what the Corvette is now. I am stunned as to how well/tight this car is and the quality is amazing. Just sitting still it looks like it is traveling at 98 MPH. If you do not like taut cars, then steer clear and by a Buick or a Lexus. If you buy one --- ENJOY THE RIDE!!!
