The redesigned S80 offers a smooth V8 on AWD models and a six-cylinder on FWD ones. A turbocharged six-cylinder is also available. The optional blind-spot monitoring system and active cruise control work well. The rear seat is less spacious than the previous generation. Handling has been slightly improved, but the ride remains a bit stiff.
