The Astra is designed and built in Europe. The standard engine is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder. Curtain air bags, front side air bags, and active head restraints are standard. ESC is standard only on the two-door hatchbacks but optional on the four-door hatchbacks. The Astra is no longer imported.
