New for 2009 Porsche Cayman

The 2009 Porsche Cayman is redesigned with subtle styling changes that include two-tube style headlights influenced by the Carrera GT, larger air intakes, LED running lights and revised rear styling with better integrated taillights that use LED technology. The Cayman is powered by a 265-horsepower 2.9-liter flat-6 engine and the Cayman S is powered by a 320-horsepower 3.4-liter flat-6 engine. For the first time, Porsche’s 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission is available for Cayman and Cayman S. The 2009 Cayman also receives larger wheels, suspension upgrades and larger brakes.

Porsche used the Boxster platform as the basis for the Cayman coupe. Power comes from a midmounted, 2.9-liter, flat-six engine that produces 265-hp. The higher-performance Cayman S has 320 hp. The fixed-roof coupe seats two passengers and uses a hatchback design that increases the rear storage area compared with the Boxster.
