The 2009 Mitsubishi Galant receives fresh styling with a new grille, hood and lower air intake at the front, and more changes at the rear including wider rear glass, a new trunk lid, taillights and rear bumper. The high-performance Ralliart continues to top the 2009 Galant model line, which also includes the 4-cylinder ES, Sport and Sport V6. With exclusive exterior styling, Galant Ralliart is powered by a 258-horsepower 3.8-liter MIVEC V6 engine mated with a 5-speed Sportronic automatic transmission and includes Ralliart-tuned sport suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels. Galant ES and Sport are powered by a 160-horsepower 2.4-liter MIVEC 4-cylinder engine with a four-speed automatic transmission with Sportronic, and the Sport V6 is powered by a 230-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 engine.

Great Car for the Money by An MSN Autos Consumer on 11/06/2012. Owned 2 years.

Pros: The well appointed interior is roomy and stylish. It is a nice, smooth riding, midsized car at an affordable price. This may be the best kept secret on the road.

Cons: The cloth interior doesn't wear well and shows every spot. While it has nice pick up for getting on and off the highway, the ride around town isn't as smooth - and the gas mileage for driving in the city is not the best.

Overall review: I really like this car. I was looking at similar makes/models and none compared in terms of features per dollars spent. It is realiable and comfortable. I love that I bought this car for less than $13k a few years ago, and with the current mileage at less than 40k, I still have the balance of the 5 years/50,000 mile warranty left. How can you beat that?
