2009 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

The 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL receives a new front-end design which is both new and familiar, with a wider grille that incorporates a single horizontal element reminiscent of the legendary 300 SL, longitudinal bulges added to the hood and new headlights with standard bi-xenon lighting elements. The SL also features new side mirrors with arrow-shaped turn signals, a rear air diffuser and trapezoidal exhaust tips. Inside is a new 3-spoke steering wheel and a restyled instrument cluster with red needles. The SL550 receives a 7-speed automatic transmission while the SL63 debuts an exclusive new 7-speed MCT (multi-clutch technology) transmission with AMG Speedshift and four drive modes. An exclusive SL63 AMG Edition IWC will be offered that includes an exquisite Grosser Ingenieur (Great Engineer) watch from the renowned Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen.
