The E-Class blends spirited acceleration and respectable fuel economy. The strong V6 is mated to a seven-speed automatic. A powerful and economical diesel version got 29 mpg overall in our tests. Seat comfort and driving position are first class. Wagon and AWD models are also part of the line.
