The 2009 Jeep Compass receives revised suspension tuning for a more comfortable ride, engine compartment silencers and revised exhaust tuning. Inside the Compass adds a new instrument panel, door trim and center console; a carpeted load floor, LED-illuminated cupholders; and uconnect tunes and uconnect gps are available. Light Sandstone Metallic Clear Coat and Deep Water Blue Pearl Coat are new exterior colors.

We got 22 mpg overall from the noisy 2.4-liter engine and CVT. Ride and handling are not impressive. Interior fit and finish is lackluster, the driving position is narrow, and visibility is compromised. Reliability is average, but the Compass scores too low to be recommended.
