The Taurus X has impressive interior packaging, and the third-row seat is suitable for adults. The 3.5-liter V6 provided punchy performance but returned a so-so 16 mpg overall. Handling is responsive thanks in part to the standard ESC. Reliability has been average. Side and curtain air bags are standard.
