The 2008 Taurus X is powered by a 263-horsepower 3.5-liter Duratec 35 V6 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Offered in SEL, Eddie Bauer and Limited trim levels, the interior features stadium style seating, one-touch flip-and-fold second-row seats, and an optional power rear liftgate. Standard safety equipment includes ABS, AdvanceTrac electronic stability control, front-seat side airbags and Ford’s Safety Canopy side-curtain airbags for all three rows. Optional equipment includes a voice-activated DVD-based navigation system, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, DVD player with an 8-inch screen and the Ford Sync hands-free in-car communications and entertainment system.

Great Family Ride by Road Mom on 11/23/2009. Trim: 2008 Ford Taurus X SEL AWD, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Sometime I look at the Taurus X and think I'm driving a station wagon...other times, a minivan, and then an SUV. It's a mix of all of those worlds! The interior is extremely comfortable, roomy, and our leather seats are great quality. I love to drive it, I feel like I have more control than I did in my Expedition. We have 3 kids and have never felt cramped on a long driving vacation, which we do often to visit family. We installed a DVD system and now the package is complete! We get around 19 mpg in town and 24-26 on the road.

Cons: The comments I get that I drive a station wagon, lol.

Overall review: Definitely a great buy! Would do it again and plan to have mine for a LONG time.
