2008 Dodge Dakota

The redesigned 2008 Dodge Dakota adds improved performance, better ride quality and innovative utility. With a fresh, new look from the windshield forward the Dakota incorporates signature Dodge design cues both inside and out, and adds a standard rear tailgate-mounted spoiler. An all-new 4.7-liter V8 engine is available that produces 302 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque—the only optional V8 in the midsize segment. While delivering a 31 percent increase in horsepower and 13 percent increase in torque compared to the previous Dakota V8, the new engine offers a 5 percent increase in fuel economy. Inside, the Dakota features a new instrument panel, center console and accent finishes. The center console incorporates cup holders with modular inserts and a pull-out bin for electronics and the Crew Cab offers an innovative collapsible and removable under-seat cargo management system.
