The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD receives minor updates including standard XM Satellite Radio on all trim levels, an available power-adjustable driver’s seat on regular cab versions with a bench seat, brighter instrument pointers for the gauges and two new exterior colors: Dark Cherry Metallic and Deep Ruby Metallic. Silverado 2500HDs equipped with dual rear wheels receive new, larger 17-inch wheels that are available with bright wheel covers. For fleet customers, the 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine is capable of running on B20 biodiesel.

Best truck buy in the USA! by bill 1068 on 09/16/2009. Trim: 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT2 Ext. Cab Std. Box 4WD, Owned 1 year.

Pros: Lots of horses and torque, car like interior with leather seats and ultra trim

Cons: No heated mirrors

Overall review: Switched from an import 1/2 ton to the Chevy 3/4 ton. More luxurious, more power ,more torque. Pull a 25 1/2 foot 3 horse trailer and it doesn't ever strain, even in our hills. Fuel mileage is acceptable, about 12 in town, 16 hwy, and 15.5 with the trailer on. And this is a 6 liter gas engine with the 6 speed tranny!
