Enjoyable, Worthwhile, Safe Vehicle by mryanf from Dayton, OH on 05/03/2013. Trim: 2007 Volvo XC70 Cross Country, Owned 1 year.

Pros: Excellent blend of sedan and sport utility; the XC70 drives solid like a tank. Comfortable seats, easy to read instruments, and cargo area provides plenty of room. Plenty of safety features, and attention to detail is terrific. The engine is surprisingly peppy--great acceleration. Cruised through winter over roads--a real champ in the snow.
Cons: Teenage kids don't like the rear legroom. Wish the mileage on my daily route was better (20-22mpg).
Overall review: Bought the XC70 after my previous car needed a new engine and eyewitnessed the level of safety Volvo can provide in an accident. I would recommend this car to anyone who is inclined to a SUV but would like to keep some sedan aspects.
