THE ULTIMATE LEMON by Gary from Littleton on 02/25/2013. Trim: 2007 Hyundai Veracruz Limited AWD, Owned 6 years.

Pros: WE WERE DECIDING BETWEEN THE VERACRUZ AND THE MAZDA CX-9 AND DECIDED FOR THE PRICE THE VERACRUZ LIMITED 4 WHEEL DRIVE WAS A GOOD DEAL. IT HAS A GOOD RIDE ADEQUATE POWER AND A LOT OF STANDARD FEATURES.
Cons: SHORTLY AFTER WE HAD IT THE SWITCHES FOR ADJUSTING THE SEAT BACKS WERE MALFUNCTIONING SO THEY WERE REPLACED. AT 52,000 MI. THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL BEARING WENT OUT. AT JUST OVER 50,000 MI. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON,TOOK IT IN BUT THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM AND EVER SINCE IT COMES ON. NOW WITH 72,000 MI. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON FAIRLY OFTEN. AS WELL AS THE "ABS" AND THE "ESC" LIGHTS. IT'S BEEN IN NUMEROUS TIMES REPLACING OXYGEN SENSORS, THEN THE DRIVE BY WIRE THROTTLE WITH NO RESULTS NOW THE "ABS" MODULE IS MAKING A NOISE. WITH ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS CONTINUALLY COMING ON AND NO RESOLUTION FROM THE DEALER THE FRUSTRATION LEVEL HAS REACHED A NEW LEVEL.THIS CAR IS A "LEMON".
Overall review: AT THIS POINT I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE TO ANYONE, IT HAS BECOME SO TROUBLE PRONE I DON'T WANT TO TAKE IT ON ANY LONG TRIPS AND UNFORTUNATELY THE DEALER DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE HOW TO FIX IT. IT APPEARS TO ME HYUNDAI ADVERTISES GREAT QUALITY BUT IF THEY EVER GET THIS FIGURED OUT MY NEXT VEHICLE WILL NOT BE A HYUNDAI.
