This Truck is a Lemon see the class action law suit on 6.7L Dodge
by Sorry Dodge Buyer on 09/14/2011.
Trim: 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Quad Cab 4X4, Owned 4 years.
7
Pros:
THe power is very good when the turbo is not faulty.
Cons:
6.7 L Diesel has major problems with the Turbo and the PDF and Injectors. It started at 5K miles and has never fully been able to be fixed. I had the truck in 5 times and the engine light has never been off for more than 3 months. They replaced many Exhaust components and cleaned the turbo by drilling a hole in it to spray solvent in it. Does that sound like a fix? Dodge will not admit that they have an issue with the 6.7 L Exhaust System and Turbo and Exhaust Filter.
Overall review:
6.7 L Diesel has major problems with the Turbo and the PDF and Injectors. It started at 5K miles and has never fully been able to be fixed. I had the truck in 5 times and the engine light has never been off for more than 3 months. They replaced many Exhaust components and cleaned the turbo by drilling a hole in it to spray solvent in it. Does that sound like a fix? Dodge will not fix my bad turbo because they said that I did not change the fuel filter every 15K miles, but no one told me that it would void my warranty. And Dodge never supplied me a owner’s manual, Case in point, there is a class action suit over this issue with 2007 to 2010 Cummins issues relating to the turbo (Case no. : 8:10-201-HFF). Dodge will not admit that they have an issue with the 6.7 L Exhaust System and Turbo and Exhaust Filter. Chrysler is trying to get the Class Action Complaint dismissed in court as you read this. Is this how they conduct business. Do not buy this truck or you will be sorry.
