The 2006 Cadillac XLR adds two new entirely new special edition models to the lineup: Ultra-luxury Platinum and Passion Red. The Platinum model receives a chrome grille, 18-inch 15-spoke polished wheels, Platinum exterior badging, Liquid Amethyst or Raven Black as exterior colors, unique door sill plates, unique wood and metal elements and special wood and metal accents in the interior. The Passion Red Special Edition features a chrome grille, 18-inch chrome wheels and numbered sill plate. The standard XLR receives a six-speed automatic transmission, redesigned key fob that’s unique to Cadillac, Generation 7 OnStar technology featuring Turn-by-Turn Navigation, Red Passion replaces Blue Steel as the exterior color and Cashmere replaces Shale as the interior trim. The XLR-V receives a new 10-spoke aluminum wheel desigh with sterling silver finish.

Pros: What a ride,if it had wings it could fly,I would buy it again!!
Cons: Not much,the top can be a bit of trouble at times.
Overall review: The most fun car I've ever owned,if you keep your foot out of it , it will get 30 MPG +
