The 2007 BMW X5 receives a makeover with an all-new design, more powerful and efficient engines, available 7-passenger seating and new option packages. Riding on a new front suspension that features a double wishbone multi-link design, the X5’s new exterior is highlighted by roof spoiler and taillights that incorporate “separation edges,” front spoiler’s air dams on the sides and cornering lights. A new 260-horsepower 6-cylinder engine in the 3.0si produces 225 lb-ft of torque while a 350-horsepower V8 in the 4.8i produces 350 lb-ft of torque. Both are mated to a new 6-speed automatic transmission that has been improved for quicker response and shifting. The all-new interior features include increased shoulder and legroom, 10-way power front seats, new leather grade and color scheme and improved cargo area. New stand-alone options include Active Steering, automatic tailgate (4/07 availability), aluminum running boards, and optional 3rd-row seating.

Pros: style, powerful, handling, fun to drive.
Cons: not a smooth riding vehicle on the city streets, but great on highways.
Overall review: It might not be a smooth riding vehicle vehicle on city streets but it has great style and it is fun to drive. Also it handles very well in snow.
