New for 2006 Toyota Tacoma

The 2006 Toyota Tacoma continues with minor updates after a redesign for 2005. New safety features include a standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and models equipped with a front bench seat receive an advanced dual-stage airbag system. A standard service reminder indicator has been added to all models.

Introduction

The Tacoma is Toyota’s compact truck, now in its sixth generation, and available in Regular Cab, extended Xtracab, and 4-door Double Cab configurations. The current Tacoma was designed in the U.S. and is built in the New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. factory in Fremont, Calif. The Tacoma accounts for 10 percent of Toyota’s U.S. sales.
