2006 Porsche Cayman

The 2006 Porsche Cayman S is powered by a 295-horsepower 3.4-liter horizontally-opposed six-cylinder engine teamed with the smooth 6-speed manual transmission found in the Boxster S that has been enhanced for the Cayman S with shortened and more precise shift travel. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) is standard, as are 18-inch wheels.

The Cayman is an all-new mid-engine coupe from Porsche that is based on the Boxster S roadster, but draws both inspiration and components from the legendary Porsche 911 Carrera. The all-new Cayman S is the first mid-engine coupe from Porsche since the 914 model of the 1970s—other than the limited-production Carrera GT supercar. The Cayman S also shares a spiritual connection to the Porsche 550 Coupe and the Porsche 904 Carrera GTS Coupe, two legendary Porsche race cars. The new sport coupe has curvaceous rear fenders and the rear hatchback slopes smoothly down to the automatically extending rear spoiler for a very distinctive look that also includes fog lights integrated into the front air intakes, exclusively designed side air intakes and dual sport tailpipes.
