The 2006 Pontiac GTO receives a new taillight design with gloss black background, available 18-inch aluminum wheels with bright finish spokes and illuminated steering wheel audio controls. Fusion Orange and Spice Red Metallic are added as exterior colors and interior changes with Fusion Orange include orange instrument cluster background and orange stitching on seats, shift knob, steering wheel and door armrests.

Introduction

The GTO is Pontiac’s new high-performance coupe that marks the return of the legendary GTO name from the 1960s in a modern V8-powered, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe. The GTO is based on the Holden Monaro that is sold in Australia, and the GTO will be built at Holden’s Elizabeth plant in Australia. The LS2 V8 engine comes from the Corvette.
